TOYX, Inc.’s mission is to acquire, preserve, maintain, display, interpret, and operate railroad equipment and other vehicles to benefit and support the communities it serves.
OUR PROJECTS
TOYX operates special annual trains across five U.S. states during the holiday season to collect over 40,000 toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation, which redistributes the toys to less fortunate children. TOYX’s Operation Toy Train is one of the largest Toys for Tots campaigns in the United States.
TOYX has a fully operable 1949 railroad dining car that is used for full on-board meal service at special events in and around Port Jervis, New York. TOYX’s Dining Car Society uses this historic dining car to preserve and interpret the artifacts, recipes, and on-board experience of pre-1971 North American rail travel.
TOYX stores and maintains its railroad equipment year-round at the historic Erie Turntable in Port Jervis, New York. TOYX operates this public historic site in partnership with the Tri-States Railway Preservation Society. Over 20 pieces of historic railroad equipment are on display around the operable 1927 turntable.
